The Belgian milling industry has used Beldem products for flour improvement for more than 25 years. Beldem has always been a leading specialist in the field with products such as O'pan which gives the miller a means of achieving higher flour specification levels.
With the international growth of our sales network and the start of our own production of enzymes, we have developed a family of flour conditioners able to meet the needs of flour processors all around the world. Today, we can boast a customer base in the milling industry spread over the 5 continents.
Of course, the secret of such success lies in the quality of our products, but it is also due to the service provided to the miller throughout the year. Beldem provides a full analysis of flour quality to the miller every year and advises on the best combinations of enzymes, emulsifiers and/or oxidants to add to the flour according to the level of flour quality, the type of bread etc. From season to season, the miller is guaranteed to achieve the best blends thanks to a complete assessment system called Flourcheck. We do not limit ourselves to flour analysis but go to the final baking tests too in order to give the miller an overall view of the main purpose of making excellent flour : to obtain perfect bread.
Beldem also provides other ingredients that allow the mill to enlarge its product range by combining special flavours and developing original flour mixes. Our dried sourdoughs are natural ways to obtain highly unique flours with added value for the consumer.
